Sew Many Flakes...
... Snow Few Men
When the weather is frightful, making this pattern is delightful! This snowman pattern is one our winter offerings in our banner series.
A great way to use those beautiful winter blue fabrics- the pieced background gives a little something extra without being too much!
Banner: 16” x 32” long
This “almost a man” snowman is created by fusing snowflakes on a pieced background. These intricate looking snowflakes are cut in sections and then fused into place. Paper templates are provided.
We appliquéd the snowflakes, hat and broom using the fusible appliqué method. For fusible web, there are lots of great products out there. Steam a Seam 2 Lite is one we like and is readily available in most areas.
It would be fun to experiment with alternate fibers in this pattern- you can make the snowflakes out of metallics or Angelina fibers. You can use different fabrics for his hat and broom to make him even more fun! Play! Experiment!
